Hello everyone :-) I'm looking for a travel companion primarily for a Portugal road trip. However, if you have an even better idea, then let me know. We can always do Portugal later. ;-) My travel period is more or less set. I have to take my remaining vacation by the end of April. Since my colleague has already expressed interest for right after Easter and traveling any earlier involves considerable weather risks, it would be the last week of April until the beginning of May. I had envisioned about 10-14 days, but I'm not fixed on that either. I'm 36, work as a financial advisor in a bank, and therefore enjoy traveling (my sedentary job needs a balance). Since I don't like traveling alone, I need a travel companion. So, that's where you come in. My expectations for a vacation are as follows: Trying local cuisine, discovering new places, also relaxing sometimes and not just action, no low-budget vacation (so no hostels or anything like that). I've already done a few road trips, which is why I have some experience. I'm also happy to drive during the vacation, and you can enjoy the view as a passenger. It's also important to me that we can laugh together and are somehow on the same wavelength. Therefore, it's certainly advisable to meet beforehand. I'm also more of a person who explores cities on foot. So, 20,000 steps shouldn't be your limit. The only thing I won't do is things at unsecured heights. So, things like mountaineering or ridge hiking. I even tend to avoid cable cars if I can. Hi everyone, since 2022, I've been spending time in Mallorca every year, both in March and April. March holds a special charm for me: at this time of year, it's much less busy around Ballermann than in the summer months. You can experience the island in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, enjoy the tranquility, and discover many beautiful places without the hustle and bustle. In April, I usually head to Mallorca again, as there's already a bit more life and the season is slowly beginning. This way, I can experience both sides of the island: the relaxed pre-season and the start of the lively holiday season. Mallorca has been accompanying me for 17 years now. Since I came of age, I've flown to the island every year, sometimes even up to five times a year. As a result, I know my way around very well and have discovered many beautiful places, restaurants, and excursion opportunities over the years. Even in March, there are already numerous opportunities for a varied holiday. The weather is often pleasantly mild and ideal for activities. For example, you can stroll through the old town of Palma, visit the impressive cathedral, or take a leisurely walk along the beach promenade. Excursions to the Serra de Tramuntana, visits to the picturesque towns of Valldemossa, Sóller, or Alcúdia, as well as drives along the coastal roads are also among the highlights. Those who like to be active can go on hikes or bike tours, as the temperatures are ideal for this. Many cafés and restaurants are already open and invite you to enjoy Mallorcan cuisine.
