Sudan in November – Khartoum, Meroe & Karima

Hi! I'm Benjamin from Chicago, 28, and I've planned two weeks in Sudan for November 2028. Rough itinerary: Khartoum, Meroe, Karima, Wadi Halfa. The core idea is a round trip – so lots of pyramids, a bit of desert, and if time permits, history too. I like accommodation to be small and personal, more guesthouses than big hotels. It's important to me not to just tick boxes: I prefer to linger in a place if it feels right, explore local markets, and strike up conversations with people. I'm relaxed, an early riser, and enjoy evenings with a glass of wine or tea at the table. Conversational English is no problem. I'm looking for a female travel buddy – we don't have to be together 24/7. Sharing meals, spending a day together, or going on a hike together is totally enough.
