Reunion in September – Saint-Denis, Cirque de Mafate & Piton de la Fournaise

Nomoshkar! I'm Riya from Sundarbans, 27, and I've planned two weeks in Réunion for September 2028. Rough itinerary: Saint-Denis, Cirque de Mafate, Piton de la Fournaise, Saint-Pierre. At its core, it's about hiking – so lots of hiking, a bit of volcano, and if time permits, beach too. I prefer small and personal accommodation, more gîte than big hotels. It's important to me not to tick off everything: rather stay put in one place if it feels right, check out local markets, strike up conversations with people. I'm relaxed, up early, and in the evening, happy to sit at a table with a glass of wine or tea. Linguistically, Bengali/English works without problems.
