Jambo! I'm Sam from Dar es Salaam, 39, and I’ve planned a week and a half in Trinidad and Tobago for February 2028. Rough itinerary: Port of Spain, Tobago, Pigeon Point, Asa Wright. The core focus is a round trip – so lots of carnival, a bit of diving, and wildlife if time permits. I prefer small and personal accommodation, more guesthouse than large hotels. It’s important to me not to tick boxes: rather stay in one place if it feels right, explore local markets, and strike up conversations with people. I'm relaxed, an early riser, and enjoy evenings with a glass of wine or tea at the table. Linguistically, Swahili/English are no problem. Looking for a travel buddy – we don't have to be together 24/7. Sharing meals, spending a day together, going for a hike together is completely sufficient.
